Charles Harb, beloved proprietor of Charlie’s Café across from Precita Park, will share memories of his birthplace and
migration through documentary footage and family photos.
In 1974 Charlie’s father ran for Mayor of Bethlehem. Initially declared the winner, due to an unexplained miscount in the tally of votes, Charlie’s father lost the race. Despite the loss, Charlie’s father continued to serve Bethlehem as a spokesperson for the city and the mayor and in this capacity met and interacted with numerous world leaders including the Carters, the Clintons, the Archbishop of Canterbury and many others.
