Bernal Branch Library
500 Cortland Avenue
San Francisco
In case you missed it, see last season’s short sci-fi thriller presented at both Film Crawl on Mission and Film Crawl on Cortland and meet the filmmaker! The pilot for a San Francisco-based urban legend series follows a woman’s date night that turns into a cat-and-mouse hunt by the Zodiac killer through a surreal version of San Francisco. Bernal filmmaker Rodrigo Williams will appear for a conversation and Q&A.
I grew up in San Francisco bouncing around all four corners of the City, now settling in the center of the City where different neighborhoods and cultures collide with my wife and baby girl. The eclecticness of where we live is fitting as my upbringing was just as much a melting pot as the City I’m from. My father is black and my mother is from Havana, Cuba. This version of San Francisco is the backdrop behind most of my creative passions. What started as friends making music in their parents basement evolved into pursuing the dream seriously, making music videos and comedy sketches and short film to now operating Vibeland Productions, LLC. At the root of it, it’s always been making dope art with the homies and the resources in our very own backyard.
