Bernal Heights Outdoor Cinema™ presents the seventh annual season with free screenings of Bernal Heights and local filmmakers’ works in neighborhood parks and open spaces to increase the exposure and recognition of local artists, to heighten appreciation by neighborhood and citywide residents and to bring community together for the enjoyment of our parks and neighborhood resources.
New this Season— Film Crawl on Cortland, Friday September 3
This evening, five venues on Cortland Avenue will screen films simultaneously. Each venue will begin screenings at 7:30pm, and most will have second screenings at 8:30pm.
The evening kicks off at Inclusions Gallery, 671 Cortland Avenue, for a Meet-the-Filmmakers hour, 6:30pm. Attendees are then invited to choose one of the five venues for the early show, then at 8:30pm they can shift to another venue for the late show. We've even programmed one early show series as "Kid-friendly." See events page for film lineup and schedule.
